Parents of 5th and 6th grade students. Welcome back!!! I am excited to be starting back to school with old and new faces in my classroom. 5th graders are learning the new routine while 6th graders are learning how to transition into young adults and preparing for the soon to come high school. I want to thank all of you for trusting me with your child and I plan to have a fun year filled with plenty of learning and exploration. We have a new class pet (a guinea pig) named Fergee and the kids are so excited to have her. In my science classes we will learn by doing. I am a hands on person so we will watch videos, play games, and work labs to help us learn through experience. This blog will help guide you as of what is going on in the classroom. Your child is given 15min. to write down homework each day so you can look at that and help them make sure they have what they need for school. As 5th and 6th graders students are given more responsibilities so writing down homework is up to your child. I do remind them each day. If you are able to check the blog, I post when test will be and what we are covering in class. I am looking forward to a GREAT year!!!

-Please make sure to send your childs forms and $2.00 by Friday August 17th.
